Position Requirements

Sappington seeks an enthusiastic, competitive Account Director to lead and drive major account relationships for our Enterprise Technology Marketing service line. This is a key external-facing role that directly supports the execution of the Sappington vision and mission, with accountability for account and revenue growth. The Account Director at Sappington is an outgoing, flexible team member who proactively helps enterprise technology clients achieve marketing objectives for digital products and services. Our ideal candidate has served large corporations as a marketing, creative, or business consultant, and has experience executing business development programs that generate results. The right person is dedicated to initiating and encouraging action with our clients, as well as with our own internal team. The ability to learn and understand enterprise-scale technology is mandatory.

Position Specifics

  • Establish and expand profitable client relationships in support of Sappington’s Enterprise Technology Marketing service
  • Achieve or exceed assigned financial objectives and monthly revenue quotas
  • Develop and lead client account plans in collaboration with the Sappington strategy and creative teams
  • Deliver Sappington’s service program in support of the client objectives
  • Give presentations and generate proposals that build brand presence and generate positive action
  • Work within the Sappington workflow system and in support of the full team’s success
  • Provide some project management support, as needed
  • Acquire and integrate industry knowledge related to general trends, emerging technologies, and services

Skills and Experience Highlights

  • Between five to seven years of experience in relationship or account management roles with new business requirements
  • Four-year degree
  • Previous work within enterprise and/or creative service environments
  • Enterprise technology background preferred
  • Ability to grow relationships within a complex organizations and cultivate shared perspective, with negotiation as needed
  • Excellent listening, writing, and speaking skills
  • Calm and collected, even during tense situations
