Position Requirements

Sappington seeks an enthusiastic, proactive account manager to support and grow client relationships with a particular focus on our Enterprise Technology Marketing and Digital Business Communication service lines. This is a key client-facing role that directly supports the execution of the Sappington vision and mission with accountability for managing and fostering assigned client accounts. The Account Manager at Sappington is an outgoing, flexible team member who provides impeccable client service, and ensures the firm exceeds client expectations. The right person has experience in client service roles in professional service or creative environments, and brings a determined and supportive personality that can empathetically manage details, resolve issues, and help people get things done.

Position Specifics

  • Manage client accounts according to Sappington standards and provide high-quality and professional client service that ensures the firm exceeds client expectations
  • Manage day-to-day client activities, including strategic implementation and on-time/on-budget delivery of engagements while providing ongoing counsel
  • Write client communication with the highest attention to detail, following Sappington brand standards
  • Track progress of multiple client engagements, keep detailed documentation, and maintain schedules in project management software
  • Write proposals and support organic growth opportunities in conjunction with Relationship Managers
  • Maintain close and frequent contact with clients regarding status of work, and strengthen rapport between the company and the client
  • Escalate issues to senior management as needed when project scope, budget, and/or client expectations are at risk
  • Ensure that action, monthly, time, budget, and expense reports are completed in a timely manner

Skills and Experience Highlights

  • Proven experience delivering and growing profitable client relationships
  • Excellent communication, project management, and service quality skills
  • Four to six years of experience in client-facing account management and/or project management roles
  • Previous work within enterprise and/or creative service environments
  • Experience with project management software, such as Smartsheet, Basecamp, or Excel
  • An interest in understanding enterprise-scale technology and learning about digital innovation is mandatory
  • Four-year college degree
