Sappington Adds Silvina Gils Carbó to Content Team
SEATTLE (August 17, 2016) – Silvina Gils Carbó is the newest addition to a growing content team at Sappington. She joins the agency as a Content Strategist.
Gils Carbó worked previously at Avanade, a technology consulting joint venture between Accenture and Microsoft, where she spent more than a decade in a variety of marketing and communications roles.
Most recently, she served as brand communications group manager and led the evolution of the Avanade company story. In that role, Gils Carbó advanced standards for the company’s brand voice, writing style, and implementation. She also developed a number of global-scale brand and campaign messaging storylines, such as the annual technology vision and the company’s digital business viewpoint.
“Silvina is one of the rare individuals who understands how to communicate with technology and business people,” said Tim Goggin, CEO of Sappington. “This is especially important for our clients who are working hard to transform businesses through the strategic use of technology. Everyone has to be on board and that requires making information accessible to many different types of people.”
With more than 17 years of experience in technology marketing, Gils Carbó is an experienced storyteller, well versed in translating deep technical concepts into easy-to-understand, approachable, go-to-market messages. She brings to life the business value and rich opportunities made possible by technology advancements and innovations.
Gils Carbó has a master’s degree in English from the University of Washington and a bachelor’s in literature from the University of California San Diego.
