Senior Technology Leader, Ward RALSTON, joins Sappington
SEATTLE (April 3, 2018) – Senior Technology Leader, Ward Ralston, has recently joined Sappington as the Technology Marketing Practice Lead.
A revered instructor, writer, and consultant in the technology industry, Ward is responsible for leading the agency’s technology marketing, strategy, and advisory services. Owing to his trademark style of leadership, which combines a passion for technology with a humble approach, Ward is well positioned to benefit Sappington’s wide-ranging roster of clients with his invaluable knowledge and expertise.

Ward spent more than 12 years at Microsoft, where he held a variety of Director positions such as Director of Enterprise Client Business, Director of Executive Communication for Server and Tools, and Director of Training at Learning eXperiences Group (LEX).
Deeply involved with Windows Server since 1993, he has been a major contributor to every release of server technology shipped by Microsoft. Ward has also spoken and keynoted at thousands of worldwide events, online courses, and executive briefings and keynoted with every CEO at Microsoft.
Ward was most recently Managing Director at Blue Moon, an independent technology consultancy, where he worked with Microsoft’s Windows Server Launch Team, Field Readiness Teams for Cloud and Enterprise and the Azure Security Teams.
Ward has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Workforce Development and Training from Southern Illinois University (Magna Cum Laude). Prior to receiving his degree, he spent 13 years in the Navy as a Sonar Technician on Submarines. He has over 25 different technology certifications including CCNA, CISSP, MCSE, and MCT.
